We applied to a pre-K program (not one of the hot ones on this board) and intended to go to an open house at its upper school campus. In the end we couldn't go because DH had to work. When the admission assistant called to confirm our attendance, I said we couldn't go but that we know this preschool is our first choice, and if DD is admitted we'll have lots of chances to see the upper school campus. I may have also told the head of the lower school that it is our first choice, or at least that we liked it and thought it was a good fit for us. Was I hopelessly uncool? Did I blow it?
Why is this process so much like dating or sorority rush? ![]() |
Don't sweat it. Yes it is like dating...the less involved, sometimes the better off we are. |
They were probably happy to hear that they are your first choice. Don't worry! |
I agree. It actually sounds like a good thing. I have heard people menion a "first choice letter," which I guess states that the school is your first choice so why not say it over the telephone? Good luck! |
OP here. Hadn't heard of a first-choice letter, so all this is reassuring. Thanks! |
Oooooooh, you are such a tease. Well if they don't accept her, they're just not that into you. ![]() |
