Anyone successfully received a transfer from one MOCO elementary school to another? What was the reason you gave? Any advice?

You may have better luck going through the Down County consortium or the magnet or immersion programs. Hundreds of kids transfer to different schools through these programs each year.

There may be cases of transfers for other reasons, but I don't know of any so can't help on this point.

Please share what you find out. I live three minutes from a great school, but somehow my child will have to attend another school almost 20 minutes away. Kid is a baby still but it really bugs me. The only information I have is hearsay, but apparently it is really hard to get a transfer....

yes, we recently received one due to work issues and inability to afford daycare near our home.
