Unfortunately, our schedules are different enough that I'm famished hours before he's even thinking about it, so I have cereal for dinner a lot.

Yes. He makes an excellent Breakfast (pancakes, French toast) and all manner of grilled things. If given step by step instructions he can do pretty much anything.

Not without asking me a million questions (where's the milk?) and making a mess. Roasted a chicken on a baking sheet last week and the oven was covered in grease afterwards.
