Best way to get from Baltimore to Kalamzoo, MI?

Anonymous
I have a car and I would actually love a nice road trip, but I don't think my car is in good enough shape to drive that far in a short amount of time. I was thinking of flying but I don't necessarily want to deal with the hassle of flying. So I guess it's bus or train. What would you suggest? Also, are there any bus/train options that don't take 18+ hrs to arrive?

Catch Amtrak then.

Or take Greyhound.

You could rent a car to drive there. It's like a 10-11 hour drive, though.

I would fly to Detroit then drive a rental car the two hours to Kzoo.

Sun Country flies nonstop to Lansing MI. Not far to K'zoo.

The bad thing is that there are no direct trains to K'zoo. I think you would have to change in Chicago.

Southwest Airlines BWI to Grand Rapids, rent a car and drive from there.

Believe Sun Country no longer flies to Lansing

Don't drive

I'm thinking of seeing the country by train sounds really nice but I'm worried I'll get bored on the train for 16 hrs.

Fly to Lansing (other airlines fly there) and drive to Kalamazoo. Or rent a car and drive. I took a bus once from Ann Arbor to NYC during college and it was a horrible experience and takes much longer than driving because you have to change buses throughout the journey. Train also takes much longer than driving for similar reasons.

You may be able to find a cheap flight from BWI to Detroit that makes renting a car and driving the rest of the way worth it.
