I'm changing cell phones and cell phone carrier - and I have about a 100 phone numbers stored in my phone. How do I transfer that to a new phone? Or do I have to key it all in manually? |
Do you have Verizon Wireless? They have an online backup for your phone book so you can transfer it to your new phone. |
When i changed my cell phone, I remember paying an extra $10 for them to transfer my phones from one phone to the other. |
I have been with Sprint for YEARS and have always been able to have my contacts easily transferred from one phone to another, at a Sprint store.
I am not sure how it works if you are transferring from one carrier to another, but it might work. FWIW, I would not necessarily trust what the CSA's tell you if you call to inquire about this. I have heard many untrue things when calling the toll free numbers, only to go into a Sprint store and be given what I told was not possible. Good luck -- and please post your carrier, etc so we might be able to better help you. |
it depends on if you've stored your numbers to the SIM card (which is what gets transfered from phone to phone) or on the phone itself. Talk with your carrier and see which way you have it stored. |
Just got a new phone a few weeks ago and Verizon transferred them for free in about 2 minutes.
If someone tells you they can't do it or it costs money, I'd try another day/location/person because you are sure to find someone who will do it for you. |
