RH coffee tables

I'm kind of in love with this RH coffee table, but they don't have any in-store anywhere, so I'd have to buy it just going by the catalog.

https://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod4800046&categoryId=cat3270197

I'm wondering if

1) (long shot!) anyone has this particular table
2) anyone can weigh in on RH tables generally, in terms of quality, how true they are in appearance to what's in the catalog/on-line, etc. I'm wondering about color, since the sample chip on the site is markedly darker than the photo of the whole table.

I'm nervous about buying something without seeing it in person, and this one is a final sale so no returning it. For me this is expensive. But I've been looking for a long, long time for a coffee table for our family room, and I haven't found anything that seems "right" besides this. It's going to be central to the room so I want get it right. Thanks for any feedback!

Rh furniture is made in China and is overpriced for the quality. It's not any nicer than the furniture they sell at target. It just looks better and is more expensive.

Start on one kings lane and find some American made brands you like. Then find other retailers who sell.

I don't have that particular table, but we furnished 6 rooms top to bottom in RH last year. One room was a family room, with a different large RH coffee table (love our coffee table).

Great quality. We placed our order in the store (go to the store if possible to see quality and colors). The items advertised online look exactly like the items in person.

Every piece of RH furniture for the 6 rooms arrived in perfect condition. Very happy with RH.

You can probably look at wood stain samples at the store and ask if they have anything like it for comparison. Mi can see why you like it and why you are using RH since it is a specific style and length. Are you sure the scale is right? It is very long for a coffee table.

Thanks, everyone. They don't have samples of the color or any other items in the same wood (of course!) or anything similar, really. I asked at the store at called customer service. I believe the scale is right because our couch is long (over 90 inches), and I've read that the table should be 2/3 the length of the sofa. So that's another reason this table is a good options. Many of the tables I've seen are too short for the couch, according to that rule of length. (Thoughts about whether that rule of thumb is right?)

Wow, I'm surprised they don't have the wood grain samples. Usually furniture places have a key ring of them.

Yo could try posting on the forums on Houzz.

A while back I was looking for a similarly-sized coffee table to go between two 94" long sofas. RH is above my price range, sadly, but I really liked this table from C&B:

They stocked it at the Mass Ave store at least a few months ago. In the end, I wound up with something totally different: http://www.houzz.com/photos/51310179/Dunhaven-Cocktail-Table-asian-coffee-tables

My biggest criteria was something that could withstand regular contact with Legos and other (elementary aged) boy toys. I'm very happy with the end result; the only thing that has left a mark was some neon colored clay, which a little Soft Scrub took care of. But unless you're furnishing a kid-free (and beverage-free) space, you really should get your hands on a sample, at minimum, to test durability as well as color/tone. RH must have something that they can send you, right?

We have a very similar one from RH and it took 4 deliveries to get one that wasn't blemished. Just make sure you check inside and out including the hydraulics inside (I'm assuming it opens using hydraulics similar to ours).

We've been very happy with the quality and responsiveness of RH. We did have one issue that they not only resolved they made better than we had expected.
