Montgomery Blair -- where do kids go to college?

I realize there may be differences between the major part of the school and the science magnet and Communication Arts programs.

This is a huge and incredibly diverse school, so I imagine that students go to all different types of colleges.

OK, the magnet programs, DC is entering one of them (don't want to be more specific because don't want to out DC). Although I'm getting the sense that there aren't many Blair families on this board....

What do you mean....they go to just about any college they want most likely. As a magnet school graduate can tell you no one else in my class went to the university I attended A good handful went to College Park and the rest of us went out own ways...based on what we liked, what we could afford and how far away we wanted to go.

Check in the college issue of Bethesda Magazine - they give a complete list of where students go from all the MoCo High Schools - if I remember correctly Blair students go to a wide range of schools from Ivies to public universities - I am sure there is way to get a copy of it.

FWIW, I had a summer intern out of the science magnet who went to Princeton. According to him, his buddies were all very pleased with their college acceptances.

Do I remember wrong, or does Bethesda Magazine focus on Whitman, BCC, Potomac and Churchill?

I am pretty certain it lists out Blair's college admissions too - can't put my hands on it though.

Thanks. I'll try to get it from somewhere.

The oct 2008 issue of Bethesda mag did have Blair listed for colleges.

Too long and complicated to post any kind of summary or conclusory info from it.... Seems like it does as well or better than the Bethesda schools, & definitely sends lots of kids to schools with strong engineering/science programs.
