Do you want a foreign au pair, or just someone for the summer?

If you want an au pair from another country, your best bet is to go through an agency. Some au pair agencies now have a summer au pair program. For example, Cultural Care au pair - you submit an application and try to match with someone wanting to come to the US for the summer. Everything is regulated by the department of state.

Another option is to try to find someone on your own. There are various websites that match up people looking for au pairs with people looking to be au pairs. An example is aupair-world.net. However, you won't be able to get a visa for these people to come unless you go through an agency.

If you want to find an American, there are websites with people like college students looking to be nannies for the summer. An example of this is eNannysource, I think.
