I am never surprised by these street-type interviews by comedians or others.
We have a lot of under-educated people in this country when it comes to current affairs, history, government, or most any subject.
We also have a lot of people without common sense.

As an aside - I have never found Jimmy Kimmel very funny. He was HORRIBLE hosting the Emmys.
