One night getaway with DW in/around DC. Where should we go?

Anonymous
Brother-in-law & Sis-in-law are taking the kids for an anniversary treat, so we're free for a day/night. We could travel up to an hour or so (so something like L'Auberge Provencale could work), or we could stay in town and go to a movie/play and nice dinner, which is something we never do. Maybe the Jefferson or the Hay Adams. We'll happily do a B&B if it's clean, nice and reasonably romantic. Suggestions?

Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michael's.

Four Seasons Baltimore!

Bartlett Pear Inn in Easton, or something in Annapolis? Inn at Little Washington would be a bit over an hour. If you want a spa, maybe Mandarin Oriental? You could go on a boat ride nearby for dinner and dancing.

If you are paying $500/night for a hotel. And had your choice of Four Seasons DC or Four Seasons Baltimore, would you really choose Baltimore?

I've heard great things about Goodstone Inn in Middleburg. Trying to get that on my calendar!

We enjoyed the Goodstone Inn. Also Poplar Springs Inn is fun and secluded.

Food was amazing at the Goodstone Inn. We went in Jan and my DH was cold the whole time.
