River School

Can anyone give me some feedback on the River School? We are looking at it for our first grader. Thank you.

Lots of prior threads about River School. Generally very positive.
Some have complained though re:
- school doesn't have enough play/outdoor space
- not as good an environment for really active kids, esp. boys
- management is inflexible
- school tries to find social/emotional problems with kids in order to keep its school psychologists well-paid

The list could probably go on, but the list of positives is surely much longer.

OP, not snarky, just wondering why you want to go to a school that where you would have to apply out in two years?

Not the OP but River has fantastic outplacement for its 3rd graders from what I've seen.

Not disputing that, just seems like a hassle to have to apply to a new school again in such a short period of time.
