What are your absolute "must-eats" in NOVA?

Anonymous
I just moved here and would love to hear some of your must-haves at local restaurants, coffee shops, food carts, whatever. Please give specific dishes or items:

Eg, Lee's Iced Coffee at Eden Center
Or "Szechuan Beef Proper" at Peking Gourmet Inn

(The above are just examples I saw on Yelp, not my actual must-eats!)

Thumbs up. Actually there are a lot of good Vietnamese places at Eden Center, so that's a must-do.

For dim sum, we like Mark's Duck House.

District Taco (tacos and their amazing queso!), Four Sisters Vietnamese (black pepper grilled chicken and their pork egg rolls), Sisters Thai (green curry with Roti appetizer), Me Jana (love all their mezza), Chuy's and Kona Grill for awesome happy hours (Chuy's has free chips, queso, and ground beef during happy hour and Kona has awesome food specials), Ray's the Steaks for my favorite steak in town (filet and it comes with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes), Bon Chon (Korean hot wings with zucchini fries and pickled radish), Italian Store (any of their Italian subs), any of the house made German sandwiches from Heidelberg Bakery (and grab dessert while you're there!), charcuterie from Arrowine (best cheese and meat selection in the DC area).

Agree with almost all of these! However, Four Sisters is pretty white-ified Vietnamese food. Eden Center has some places where you can get "the good stuff"! I'd recommend exploring there.

Amma is Vienna has amazing dosas and samba. Taco Bamba--one just opened in Vienna. Also there is a hole in the wall called ABC Canteen in Fairfax that has really good tacos and tamales. I also do like Bar Taco in Reston.

Also, am I the only one who thought L'Auberge was overrated? That was food I could eat daily when I lived in France and Belgium. Was I missing something?

For Eden Center lovers, do you have any specific recommendations?

Agree about Taco Bamba. Get a breakfast taco your first time regardless of time of day. Yum. Now I need to go get a couple. It's eggs, chorizo, guac, queso, pico
