I am a hairdresser and let me say that anyone confident in their talent and their skills will only want someone in their chair when they want to be there. At our salon we welcome clients trying someone else within the salon if they would like to try someone new. Try to go somewhere where the atmosphere is more about your happiness and satisfaction with your service.
I won't say that it doesn't sting a little when a client is in someone else's chair, but ultimately if the client is happy when they walk out the door then we know they will come back. Plus we try to tell stylists it opens the door for you to build your book. At the end of the day we try to understand that we can't make everyone happy.
