| What did she die of? The write ups seem kind of vague. |
| They haven't released a cause of death, but apparently she'd been suffering from an undisclosed illness for at least the preceding days, which is why her siblings were there. 47, so young. |
probably code for drug abuse. |
| erm, I would say it was most likely suicide. Very, very sad for everyone in the family. |
| Almost certainly not suicide, since her whole family was present. |
| I think they said she had been in a coma? So sad. I don't know much about her, except the Wedding Singer appearance. She seemed to have a lot of family support, which I don't think is the norm? OP here. |
| He had AIDS. |
Alexis was a woman. But you know something that's hard to change, PP? Being a douche. Lucky for you, you won't need any medications, particular clothing, or surgeries. Just a commitment to not being an ass. Take it day by day and we'll be here for you. God speed. |
I'm not PP and I don't know about AIDS, but wasn't Alexis identifying as male at the end of his/her life? |
Actually, Alexis was at least sometimes identifying as male again. Below is part of his brother's statement. Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am. He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie’s Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension. I am feeling immense gratitude to have been afforded the luxury of sharing life with him/her, for learning from Alexis, for being given the gift of being able to love her/him and to be loved by him/her. He was a force. He died as he lived, on his own terms. I am immensely grateful that it was fast and painless. It was an incredibly moving experience and I am humbled and grateful to have been able to have been with him as he began his journey onward. Thank you, Alexis, I love you and will love you always. |
Lol someone jumped the gun. |
Not PP, but Alexis was born a male. For a period of time in the public eye, he identified as transgender, but since 2015 he returned to identifying with his sex. |
An angry, ignorant gun based on emotion and virtue signaling instead of facts. So many angry words hurled at the PP, and yet PP was the alleged "ass" and "douche"? Nice misogynistic insult there, by the way. |
You think that prevents suicide? You're sadly mistaken. |
Yep. I wish the family would say so and help contribute to destigmatizing the disease. And "he" is okay because towards the end of his/her life, Alexis Arquette seemed to go by both pronouns. |
