Basement leaks/foundation issues - any referrals for trustworthy inspection?

Anonymous
Do you know anyone who could give us good advice on a basement leak and possible foundation issue? We own a Brick row house built in 1890.

Yesterday afternoon, I came home to water in the basement. Fortunately I caught it early and was able to keep up with the water removal until we got it stopped. The leak entered on the very front corner of the basement (adjacent to the neighbor on one wall and facing the street on the other).

We had DC Water out. First they thought the main line in front of the house was leaking. They sent a crew out to repair it. The repair crew found no leaks on the line. Fort Myer Construction came out as well because they had jackhammered the sidewalk yesterday morning for their projects. Our next door neighbor had been watering the lawn yesterday, which he shut off in the midst of all of our efforts to figure out where the leak was coming from. It took more than an hour for the leak to stop after he stopped watering, but that may have been the source of our water.

Anyway, were concerned now about whether we have a foundation issue that will haunt us whenever the ground gets wet. If you have any ideas about who could look at it, I'd be grateful.
