Incident at little ambassadors academy

Anonymous
We are doing our preschool search to see what waiting lists to put my baby on(she's only 6months) and little ambassadors was recommended to me by friend. I did a quick search and see there was a recent serious issue of staff member holding a child down at nap time. I called my friend and she had no clue that this had happened.

Poor kid! I'm glad the center had cameras and could see what happened. My center doesn't have cameras and i really wish they and others had cameras in the center. It would help deter and quickly detect these types of sad incidents.

Surprised to hear they didn't notify other families that this happended though.

I'm shocked by this.

Can you tell if it happened at the Cherrydale or Upper Lee Highway location?

I thought all 3 and ups were at Lee?

So does the report mean that the parent reported it to the state and that's why they went to look into it?

No, it was "self reported". This means the center itself reported the incident to licensing. This is generally viewed more favorably then if a parent or other person reports.

Do we know which teacher? There is a teacher from cherrydale that switched schools. I wonder if it as her.

My ds has been with LAA for 3 years. This is not alarming to me. The school self reported this and no where in the report does it say abuse. It also says the school terminated the employee.

I have changed the subject of this thread after receiving an email from the Director of Little Ambassadors' Academy threatening to sic her lawyer on me if I didn't change the subject. In her view, the report does not demonstrate "abuse". Normally, I would welcome a fight with her lawyer, but I'm busy working on our new design and don't feel like dealing with it.

It's definitely not that teacher.

The report says that the staff person was let go and doesn't work for LAA anymore.

Well, this is good. We have been with LAA for a couple years now and I've always felt that they have been very on top of dealing with any little incident that arises.
