Best Hair Product to create Spikey Hair (11 y/o boy)

| DS wants me to style some spikes for him. His hair has shaved on the sides and longer on top. I know nothing about styling hair. Do I need a mouse, gel or cream? Specific recs for a hair product with strong hold are appreciated!! |

This stuff is unbelievable. My 9 year old and his cousins use it and can literally wake up after a full night's sleep with the hair still spiked.
