Trump pretty much never apologizes or said he is wrong, despite clear evidence to the contrary. It's amazing that the press hasn't covered his birther position recently, since:

1) It's been proven that Obama was born in Hawaii (he showed the birth certificate; and
2) It wouldn't matter if he were born abroad, since his mother is an American citizen, thus making him a natural-born citizen automatically (notice how fast the GOP dropped this line, once it knew that Cruz was born in Canada).

Why didn't Obama produce his birth certificate in 2008 when Clinton supporters brought it up?

There were several concerns:
1. The original book publicity for his book touted that he was born in Kenya.
2. The stepmother said he was born in Kenya.

Do I think he was born in Kenya? No.

Do I think there is something that we don't know about his birth certificate that he did not want us to know? Yes.

We haven't seen Trump's long form birth certificate. What is he hiding, maybe he was born to an orange haired orangutan. Trump even filed a law suit against Bill Maher that his mother was not orange haired Orangutan. Real story.
