Brass is back?

Small developer here. I love the modern brass accents in a kitchen, and would like to that on a house I am working on. However, I am worried about resale. Do you think these types of kitchens are very taste specific?

Yes, taste specific. No, not my taste. The pendants over the table with the green west elm stools are kind of cool though. No way on brass faucets.

I think they are also beautiful!

Not in my house it isn't! But I always dislike a trend until the moment after it has gone.

Ha, ha, me too.

I do like touches of brass where it makes sense, but going with all brass fixtures and knobs is too much for me right now. Maybe because I still have a few brass items in my 1980s home that I haven't gotten around to replacing yet.

Ugh. We just bought a house built in the mid-80s that was filled with brass. We are the process of replacing ALL of it.

Remind me too much if Trump's style.

I like it, but it's probably not for everyone. But I detest brushed nickel. Please don't use that.

I love it, but brushed/matte only. It's the bright stuff that looks so dated now.

The new brass gaining traction is unlacquered brass - it ages over time and will patina naturally
