We had great seats and tween sons loved Keith Urban last weekend so much we're thinking of going back to see ZBB on Saturday. Based mostly on cost, we're considering lawn seats. My vision of the lawn area is shoulder-to-shoulder drinking and goofing around. Hopefully I'm wrong and we can put down a blanket and enjoy some music like at Wolf Trap? Anyone have suggestions to help make it an enjoyable evening? Thanks. |
How old is your son?
It would be my assumption that Zac Brown at Jiffy Lube would be nothing like the lawn audience at Wolf Trap. I would anticipate lots of beer and young adults. |
Boys are 10 and 12. |
What resulted OP? |
OP here. I talked with a friend who left lawn seats at a Jason Aldean concert when she witnessed couples having sex and tons of underage drinking and disorderly conduct arrests. Don't know how ZBB compares but I'll plan better next time and buy reserved seats. |
I took my 13 yo to ZBB in the lawn. Perfectly fine. Big difference between ZBB crowd and FGL,
JA or LB crowd. |
I'm so sorry we missed this! From what I could see, the Keith Urban crowd was filled with all ages who actually enjoyed the concert. I should have assumed ZBB was similar. |
The few times I have been to that place, I haven't been impressed. The sight lines are bad, but one good thing, they have ushers checking tickets the entire concert, so people don't sneak down. |
I've heard so many negative "ugh, Jiffy Lube"s in my life but I didn't know what the complaints were in particular. I found the whole experience orderly and fine. I did not love the sound (really loud speakers booming bass--which is a big negative for a concert of course) but am curious if other similar big outdoor amphitheaters are similar or much better. Based on DCUM advice, I bought the VIP parking, so that was a breeze. Too bad because it's a nice together experience as the kids get older (until that moment when they don't want to be seen with you in public). |
