My breasts have been so sore it is unbearable to touch them. Painful to not wear a bra or roll over in them. And very swollen.
My tubes are tied & im 100% not pregnant. This has been after my last period & for several weeks. They were not sore before or during my period, just since it ended. It just keeps getting more painful. I'm 43. Is this perimenopause related or do I need a dr visit? Normally I do not have sore breasts with my period so I'm kind of worried. I have also had 2 terrible migraines. Perhaps related? |
Yes, I would be worried, call your doctor. |
It's odd, especially the timing in your cycle. Although it is very rare, pregnancies post-tubal ligations do happen. Take a pregnancy test to be sure, then see a doctor to follow up either way. Perimenopause has made my breasts feel like that 7-10 days before my period though. |
It's probably hormonal but you won't know unless you see a doctor. |
Lol. I wouldn't worry. It is most likely peri menopause. I had about ten years of pain. Sometimes both breasts, but usually only one. Now that hot flashes have finally started the pain has lessened. I'm now in my mid fifties. Pain is seldom a symptom of cancer unless you are at death's door or its inflammatory breast cancer. Google breast pain and many articles will come up. If you are concerned, then of course see your doctor, but pain is a common issue with breasts. |
Likely estrogen surge due to perimenopause. |
Yeah, sore breasts and migraines were two of my first perimenopause symptoms. |
100% not pregnant and even more sore this morning. |
Perfect. What else should I expect? Were the breasts sore just all the time? And super painful? |
No, it's been like a buffet of symptoms that vary over time. I went from sore breasts for a few months and monthly migraines to only occasional migraines, no sore breasts but skipped periods, anxiety and hot flashes. Hormones seem all over the place and symptoms vary with them. Skipped a period and had hot flashes last month, right now most everything seems "normal" but nipples are sore. |
