My crossbody Baggallini bag is looking grungy. I'd like to put it in a lingerie bag and wash it on cold delicate, and then air dry it. Do you think that would work? Has anyone tried it?
|
I was just wondering this last weekend! I hope you get a reply. If you try it, please post your results!
If it's one of the soft styles (no stiff bottom or anything) like most of them are, it should be fine. I have one and can't remember if I've washed it, but wouldn't think twice about it and would do exactly what you describe.
Well, I'll let you all know... I'm getting read to wash mine exactly as you described except I plan to spot clean with Spray & Wash and pause the washer a few minutes after agitation begins; let it soak for a few minutes; resume the cycle and let it do it's thing. Low humidity today so I will be hanging it outside to dry in the light breeze.
Yes, I have and it works great. I've done the same with LeSportSac. Cold water delicate, hang dry.
I do it. Rather DH does laundry in our house, but mine gets washed. I think he hangs it to dry. Some of the lighter colored ones need to be washed regularly.
Yes, I have many and have washed all of them - gentle cycle, cold or cool water, air dry (they dry quickly). For stubborn stains, I’ve also used stain remover with success.
OP -- Report?
Yes, frequently. It is fine.
I washed my last Friday using Persil pod, in my washer on gentle cycle inside a lingerie bag. I hung it outside in the sun and breeze all afternoon and it came out looking like new and smelling wonderful too. Wash it; it works!
