Cute story about a local girl and a shelter dog

This was making the rounds on my Facebook feed, and when I finally read the article, I saw that it was from the MoCo adoption center.

In short, instead of a birthday present, a little girl and her parents pre-paid the adoption fee for a shelter dog that they couldn't adopt, so that someone else would be more likely to adopt it.
