Listening therapy-did it work?

Anonymous
Has anyone tried one of the various listening therapies with you child? Did it have any benefits? Which one do you recommend? Thanks!

Did and nope.

Did it and say the results were because we wanted to see results not because they were real results. We had a chance to do it for free would not spend money on it.

Our OT offered the CDs to us for free and we said no. With time Dc's auditory sensitivities (and language, and comprehension) improved anyway.

DS did have responses to the difference CDs but I can't honestly say it made a difference. We did it because the OT's office only charged us $15/mo to borrow the CDs. I have to save that DS's response to the first 'orienting' CD was amazing. It calmed him down immediately.

We used TLP and it helped significantly. It doesn't last though and you need to repeat.
