Can someone summarize who is bobcat girl and what was the situation that earned this nickname?

I've seen Bobcat girl referenced several times but never knew the original post or context.

That's really not possible, but here goes:

Bobcat Girl posted that she had not heard from her boyfriend in several days, and it turned out that her boyfriend had gone out of town hunting bobcats (illegal). Bobcat Boyfriend (now Fiance) has an uncle who owns a business and Bobcat Girl suspected that they were out together. Dozens of DCUMs stalked Bobcat Uncle online including calling his store and friending him on Facebook. Later it turned out that Bobcat Boyfriend was an unreliable flake, and Bobcat Girl ended the relationship. Then later, Bobcat Boyfriend pulled it together and now she's marrying him.

The thread was fast-paced, like a car chase, and when it finally got resolved, it was very satisfying.

well done - and though I could not have come close to this succinct of a summary, it still does not do justice to the absolutely gripping 48-72 hours we all experienced watching this entire drama unfold. Even Jeff chimes in with zingers and more importantly was able to substantiate the claim of BCG, which made her just that much more endearing to this community.
