I'm limited to these choices for a business trip, and I'd appreciate feedback from folks who are familiar with the area.
I'm hoping to pick a hotel that is on the water/near the water or has a nice view AND is within walking distance of something (restaurants, bars, etc.). JW Marriott Marquis Marriott Biscayne Bay Conrad Epic Intercontinental Miami |

Okay, nervous Nellie. I'm fairly certain people actually live in Miami year round, so I'm not going to pass up the opportunity for a free trip to speak in Miami. I'll be indoors much of the time, so I don't anticipate getting bitten by a zika infected mosquito. I'm also north of 40 and done having kids. |

| I stayed at the Marriott marquis last October when I was there for the half ironman. It was fine but nothing special. If others are strongly recommending the intercontinental, that is probably a better choice. |

OP here: is the Intercontinental walking distance to Bayside marketplace? I was briefly at bayside, and I think I recall seeing the Intercon off in the distance.
I've only stayed at the marriott Biscayne bay, and it isn't near anything. |
