Yes, plus Bowser specifically indicated it is not happening.

I'm mystified that this thread continues.

She said there were some troubling aspects of Concept C. She didn't say the project was killed. Let DDOT address her concerns.

Councilman Frumin also said that if the Connecticut Avenue service lane parking were eliminated then Option C would have to be reconsidered. So it seems then that Option C will be sacrificed on the altar of the closed service lane, aka the "Cleveland Park Promenade."

We're about to suffer a complete breakdown in tax revenue cause by the commerical real estate crash as well as an out of control crime wave and population loss. Wasting a single penny more on this frivolous poorly thought out idea would be gross negligence.

Basically, the way things are going no one is going to be driving downtown anyway, which solves most of CT Ave's issues. Win win?

Do you think it’s a coincidence that the beginning of DC bike lanes coincided with a vibrant period for the DC economy and population influx? People want to live in fun, accessible cities, and that includes biking. Bike lanes are also cheap compared to most other infrastructure. And of course a main goal of the project is traffic calming.

Welp, higher crime rate has achieved the traffic calming, so bike lanes no longer needed.

I don't know but if it was then I would have to look at what's happened since the public got wind of this specific plan.

Yes, definitely the crime has reduced traffic more than the fact that most offices still only require three days a week (at most) in the office.

Why? Cyclists can just ride in the closed service lane portion of Cleveland Park. that makes no sense.

So if people aren't driving downtown, why not make our neighborhoods even more accessible to the people who actually live here and pay taxes here?

Exactly. Save Connecticut Avenue business parking.

Just wait til the bike lanes are in and it doubles your commute time to get your kid to and from school or practice. Old Georgetown Road is all jacked up and no one rides bikes in the bike lanes.
