Youngest member of the crew is 5.
In DC but willing to drive a bit. Thanks! |
Homeschool or after school/weekends? |
| Bowl 300 Shady Grove Rd, Rockville, MD |
It has been Bowlmor for some time now. But yes, it is a good place to go. Expensive though - we prefer going "old school" at the Bowl America on Clopper Road. It is a lot cheaper. |
| Pinstripes is great for kids. |
For today |
| It is over $6 for just the rental at Bowlmor. For kids, I prefer the older places that are not so crazy expensive. |
|
There's a Bowl America in Falls Church that we like.
See if the lanes at GW (University) in Foggy Bottom are open? |
We usually go to White Oak Lanes in Silver Spring. It's duck pin, so easier for little kids. It's a bit a of dive, but I feel like that's part of it's charm.
|
| Second the duckpin. Super fun for all ages. |
+1, especially since you are in DC! It is super kid-friendly and they have ball ramps as well as lane bumpers for the kids. Great food and drink for adults too. |
| White Oak for sure. Big ball bowling is tough at that age. |
Thirding, but it is surprisingly spendy. |

Most bowling places are doing summer blast passes (bowl America , Bowlmor) where summer bowling is super cheap.
It's probably not too late to sign up for a few weeks of cheap bowling http://www.bowl-america.com/summerblastpass/ Duck pin in SS is very fun. Not cheap but fun. Food is good and there's a sweet frog next door. |

duckpin bowling at SUitland Lanes is very affordable. A dive place for sure but that's the charm. |
