Window treatment for new garage Windows?

Anonymous
I just had the two original windows in my garage replaced. They are fixed and without any decoration - literally a white vinyl rectangle with glass. Do I put white wood blinds on them like the rest of the house? Film?

I won't put anything, unless you didn't want the light or you were worried about thieves.

If that's the case, I'd do something simple like what you mentioned.

If you get blinds, get plastic blinds, not wood. Plastic is cheaper and will hold up better in a garage than wood considering the heat and cold.

If they face the street is get faux wood blinds that match the style of what you have in the rest of the house for aesthetics and privacy. They are inexpensive and cut to fit at Home Depot and lowes.

I would either paint the back of the glass with black paint or get black stick on film to put over the glass.
