... how is he physically affectionate with you? I'm asking literally how, like what positions.

I yearn for DH to pull me into a hug or wrap his arms around me from behind, but then I realized I only see that in couples where the man is bigger than the woman. Would what I want even work...?

Just curious if other women who are taller than their DHs also don't cuddle in this way.

When I was married before, my (short) XH and I were the same height and he still did these gestures when he felt like it.
My fiancé is much taller and has a much bigger repertoire of affectionate gestures --both physical and non-physical because he's just awesome. But even if he never hugged me from behind, I'd still know he cherished me more than my XH ever did.

DCUM is full of Executive husbands who are always taller than their wives. Usually they're taller than most other men as well. Maybe try a board for a lesser city, or a Midwestern board for advice on this topic.

I'm about 2-3" taller than my husband.

Just an anecdotal story. My mother drilled it into me growing up to never ever date a short man. She really had some rough things to say about them. My father is 6'2 and she told me to marry over 6'. There were certainly boys in HS and college that were on the short side that I wouldn't go out with and as a grown up I feel terrible rejecting them but my mom just conditioned me to find short men unattractive.

My husband is 6'4 lol (and wonderful and I love him dearly)

Mom was 5'3 and I am 5'6 so not like we were tall.
