Lanier Lullabies in Adams Morgan Infant and Toddler Spot available

Anonymous
Lanier Lullabies has last minute infant and toddler spot available starting September 1st. We are an nurturing mid sized daycare in NW DC. We care for children 3 months-4 years old. We value a healthy lifestyle, promoting lots of outdoor activity and healthy eating. We provide caring, individualized attention and focus on creating a loving and supportive environment with a "home-like" feel. I started the daycare out of my home in 2007 and moved to the larger location on Columbia Rd. NW in 2011. I originally, opened the daycare when my daughter was born and fell in love working with the children and the families.

We are open from 8am-6pm and are closed for Federal holidays. The current tuition is $2070/month.

If you are interested in more information, please email me at lanierlullabies@yahoo.com or call me at 202-288-9135.

Thanks,

Julie Lujan

My daughter just graduated from Lanier Lullabies (LL), and I’d like to share my experience. We had a wonderful experience at LL. I’d recommend it to anyone. The teachers are loving, well prepared, thoughtful, and reliable. I cannot overstate how loving I found the teachers and the peace of mind that provided.

LL is one block from Kalorama Park. This is ended up being a huge asset--the classes have nearby outdoor space and plenty of age-appropriate play structures to hone their gross motor skills. Walter Pierce Park is a few blocks away as well. And the older classes occasionally go to the zoo and splash parks for fun trips.

I was always impressed by the teachers’ commitment to meeting the children where they were developmentally. My daughter had Strong Start services for ~ 18 months. Her teachers were supportive, communicative, and happy to do whatever we learned would aid our daughter’s development. We chose to have her PT and speech services at our home (LL was open to the sessions happening there) and the teachers were flexible and thoughtful about her late arrival on those days.

You receive a report when you pick up your kiddo that recaps their day’s activities, nap, meals, etc. There are plenty of art projects and a surplus of them around holidays. All very sweet. I always appreciated LL’s approach to birthdays. The birthday traditions celebrate the birthday kid while being inclusive.

What else...there’s good relations among the parents, an on-site owner who is positively engaged in the lives of the children, and really loving teachers. Hope this helps you to know LL. I’ll miss the gang dearly.
