I'm doing a monitored TI cycle. I did Femara cd 4-8 5mg. On CD 9, the ultrasound showed R ovary had an 11 and 3 other smalls, and Left Ovary had a 14,11, and a 9. However Estrogen wasn't much higher than baseline and still in the 50s.
They added 75 of Gonal F for the next 2 nights and todays ultrasound showed Right Ovary had a 14 and a 10 and the Left Ovary had a 21, 15, and an 11. However, Estrogen only comes back at 88 and LH is 8. They recommended one more night of 75 Gonal F and then Trigger shot on Thursday night. The Estrogen seems so low. I was at my desk and couldn't ask a ton of questions but it seems like these are mostly probably empty right? And not a good sign. I'm pretty bummed. Any thoughts? |
| How old are you? |
| Just turned 33. No issues with estrogen in previous monitored no meds though cycles. |
| That is strange. Are they monitoring your progesterone levels as well? What were your baseline levels at the start of stimming? |
| I'm not sure about baseline levels. However I did read that Femara will artificially suppress estrogen levels. So hopefully this is why nobody seemed worried. |

OP is this your first cycle?
I've experienced smth similar, but I know from previous cycles that my follicles are slow growers, nothing happens until day 8 of the cycle, or so. |
| Hi OP. How did your retrieval go? |
| hi this is the OP. I am doing TI and I triggered on Thursday night. Fingers crossed! |
Are you working with a fertility clinic or an OB GYN? |
I'm working with CFA in Arlington. |
| OP I wish you the best of luck, but if I had anything I could do over it would be to move on to higher successful treatments sooner than I did. |
