| For the other Bravo junkies out there. Heard from a reliable source that they've green lighted a show set in Georgetown. The premise is exactly what Southern charm was originally intended to be (before it morphed into the Thomas&Katherine show), a show following five "playboys" in their moneyed, boozy environs. |
| Southern Charm was fun initially because it was a group of people who really liked each other. Of course it devolved into a nasty fight-fest (same with Shahs). I'm sure this new show will do the same. I can't even watch any RH anymore - the fighting is ridiculous. |
| Georgetown is played out and uninteresting. |
| There are playboys in Georgetown? |
Just Kuwaitis who smell like cigarettes and a bottle of cologne. |
LOL |
| I'll watch whatever gruesome mixture of grim, pretentious old people and young wannabes they find in Georgetown. The DC Housewives show was grim, and I'm sure any Georgetown show will be. |
| This sounds like a great show... if it was set 30 years ago. |
I agree. I'm a Bravo whore and I'll admit it. |
Me too! |
Me too! |
Very excited for this. Now I hope that unlike RHODC/P they actually live where they are supposed to. I don't want to watch someone traipsing around the Palisades and calling it Georgetown

ooooh, it could be good!! Depends on casting though. Southern Charm has a good cast and that's why it works.
For those who say Georgetown is played out -- yes, for those who live in DC. For those outside of DC, no one really knows anything about it. |
Or the "North Georgetown" crowd!
|
That's what I was thinking as well. My first reaction was "who gives a flying fig about Georgetown" but when I thought about people not from the area, Georgetown is a recognizable name associated with fancypants folks. Works for a Bravo show. |
