| I think I'd like to go to Cape May. Has anyone been with a preschooler? Where did you stay? Was it worth it? The biggest problem for me is there are no well known hotels and everything is expensive and I'm such a Marriott fanatic that off brand really worries me. But it looks like Congress Hall is a good choice. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. |

We went to Cape May 2 years ago and stayed at the Montreal Inn.
http://www.montreal-inn.com/ We went during the off season (October) and before we had DS, but we both really liked it. Our room was facing the beach, and I think it'd be fine to take a toddler there. There are some great local restaurants, though it can be tough to drive around and find parking, etc. Beautiful beach though. |

Congress hall is okay but be prepared for all the partiers that go there. If you are not wedded to have having a pool I would stay at one of the far ends of Cape May to avoid all the crowds. Also-make sure you stay somewhere with air conditioning since a lot of the historic places have no ac. I stayed at a high end b and B called Rhythem of the Sea that was wonderful but no pool.

| rhythmofthesea.com--again it was beautiful, food was great and it was away from all the mess |
| We went to Cape May last year with a toddler and an infant and stayed at the Prince Edward Inn in the Garden Suite - basically it was a basement apartment in an old Victorian Home that was one block from all of the shopping and restaurants and one block from the beach! It was perfect - had a kitchennette and a fenced backyard so that our little one could run around safely!! There is also off street parking on site! I couldn't have been happier and we already booked another vacation there this year! Love it! www.princeedwardinn.com |
