Infertility Support and Discussion
|
Trying to decide if I should do one more IVF- had two failed attempts last year. I'm 42 and just don't know- have a consult next week with the RE. The sadness from the last two is behind me which is why I'm thinking about it again. No insurance either, so have to save up a bit more money if we decide to do it.
Please, post your success stories! |
| I'm 41 and about to begin my 2nd fresh cycle so i hope someone responds to you! You're not alone.. good luck. |

I had two IVFs at age 41, the third one at 42. RE told me my third cycle produced the fewest eggs. I had the fewest embryo's too. But I got pg in that third cycle. Lost the baby at 10 weeks through. I was devastated but I look at it this way - I need just that one golden egg. And if I could have carried this embryo, albeit a bad quality one, to 10 weeks, it is likely I'll get pg again with a healthy embryo.
This time around I'm doing CGH at another clinic though to try to prevent miscarriages and to increase my chances. I am also doing acupuncture. I see the pictures of all the women on the wall at my acu's office, many of them who are in their 40's, smiling and holding their babies...so it is possible. I would keep trying. Btw, I don't have coverage either. |
| What's CGH? |
CGH is a molecular cytogenetic method of screening a tumor for genetic changes. |
