recent feedback on InStep in Merrifield?

I'm not sure if a social skills group is right for my 6yo DD, she is very social and doesn't have trouble making friends. We are more concerned about her challenging behavior at home: defiant attitude (like a teenager), lashing out when angry (mostly at mom), low frustration tolerance (she sometimes exhibits this with other kids too, but it usually self-corrects in the course of a playdate). I've read some disappointing feedback about InStep on this board, so before we go pay $$$ out of pocket for an intake appointment and group sessions I'm wondering if others could please share their experiences. Thanks.

We did both a Minecraft summer group and then a year long dual parent/child group on social skills. My son was 7-8. It is pricey but I felt it was worth it. If we put more practice at home, we would have gotten even more out of it. The kids in our group had similar issues to what you describe. I highly recommend InStep. We went to Fairfax but I think the approach would be the same. Do the evaluation and see what they think. They took great care in ensuring the therapy and kids were a good fit.
