I wonder if HB has lost a lot of her appeal to AB now he knows she is just a basic girl from Boston. I would guess him living separately will continue for a long time until he moves onto someone else.

Of course he would have met them, but if it was a few hours or a lunch/dinner here and there in a restaurant or other public place, it wouldn't mean something would be automatically obvious that didn't match her story. Either he knew or he was confused, but it's hard to envision that there was a role play thing going on. Maybe. But he's pretty basic, can't envision that being the case

I'm pretty sure HB told him "it's complicated" any time actual discussion of her Spanish heritage came up e.g. her parents not having accents etc. And let's face it, I seriously doubt AB questioned her in detail about it, he saw what he wanted to see, went along with it, got his spicy Latina bride out of it. Imo now that he sees the black and white version of it through other people's eyes, he probably feels humiliated, so yes I could see him distancing himself from her.

Women today don't need men to upgrade their status in life. Some women aren't able to do it or don't want to do the work so they try to find men to do it for them. It's always a little archaic to hear people think that dating someone rich and famous is an achievement. LOL.

Well, the "silent treatment" is common among narcissists. In their mind, their disengagement/lack of interaction is a tactic for feeling in control. You can be sure she's stuck like glue to her and Alec's pages to see what the comments are. Complete strangers are posting disturbing comments about how they "miss seeing AB's kids." This kind of stuff tends to feed vacuous need for attention, validation, importance, etc. and can give someone the sense that they're longed for, wanted, etc.
