3 Miscarriages in a row...

Anonymous
Hi Everyone, Unfortunately I have just had my third miscarriage in a row. I am looking for a fertility specialist in the area. I am 30 y/o and have already had all the bloodwork done to rule out a lot of possible reasons. any suggestions appreciated.

I'm sorry OP. I've had three losses recently, too, and it stinks. I'm seeing Dr. Gordon at Dominion. I like him, but I'm there for completely different reasons, so I'm not sure whether miscarriage issues are on his strengths list. Good luck.

I would visit REs at Shady Grove, GW and CFA and see who you like.
Good luck!

OP, I am so sorry for your losses.

I found a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor (MFM) to be very helpful after my consecutive miscarriages. It might be another option for you to consider. My regular OB referred me to one.

PP Who did you see? Thanks!

I'm so sorry op. Did you already have the miscarriage panel bloodwork? Obs only order it if you've had 2 or 3. And I second the rec for an MFM. They deal specifically with this. I had 2 MCs and it was clear that I had no trouble getting pregnant but couldn't keep the fetus. For me it was as easy as being on progesterone from ovulation to 12 weeks. Good luck and hugs.

I'm sorry for your losses, PP. I've had 3 as well over the past year and a half. I don't suppose you had the embryos tested after the miscarriages?

Sorry, meant to say OP (but sorry for all the PPs too)

OP I'm sorry for your losses.

I had many miscarriages and if you think there might be other factors at hand please see someone who knows a little bit more about RPL. My recommendation would be Dr. Abbasi at CFA. I started out at SG with 4 miscarriages and they didn't do anything but monitor me through 2 more. Wish I had moved on sooner or just gone to CFA first.

I'm with Dr. Sarajari at Dominion and really like her so far.

THe same happened to me, 3 in a row within a year and a half, after having a child. All tests normal, one of the embryos tested and normal. No one could tell me anything, I even took Lovenox for 1 of the miscarriages and nothing. I just kept trying and had two more kids.
good luck op, and so sorry.
