Pet hair driving me nuts!

Anonymous
My dogs are shedding like crazy. For some reason it seems far worse this year. I'm starting to think that it may be the brand of food that they are on. We switched from a more expensive brand to Iams due to the convenience, not cost. Any suggestions on a good brand to try? Any other tips on keeping the hair loss to a minimum? TIA!

I just got the furminator comb (dumb name I know) and I cannot beleive how much hair I am getting off my dog, how much less hair is in my house, and how great my dog looks. I asked a couple people whose dog looked really good what they used and they all recommended it. I got it from amazon. Seriously- try it.

I saw your post and had the same thought as the above poster: you need a furminator comb!

Another furminator fan.

I bought a great brush but what really helps, since I'm not the most diligent about brushing, is to send them to get a bath and brush regularly.

she's an old black lab with veeeeeeeeeeery thick skin.... she loves the gentle massage.... we use the end with a brush and her fur looks so shinny when we're done... if we start vacuum the house she will get all excited because she knows what comes next

We love the furminator too. I also love the Dyson Animal. We have a black Lab and it is amazing how much he sheds.

Some dogs love it. I even have a friend who vacuums his cat, which amazes me. But I've seen it, and the cat purrs the whole time.
