| We are building a new construction home. Currently, we have a plan for a chandelier in the dining room, and over the stairs. Both of those choices are typical Restoration Hardware-like modern/industrial looking black iron and glass mix. One has a bit more glitz then the other. We are also putting in pendants or a chandelier in the kitchen over an island and the wet bar in the basement. Is there a rule of thumb I should use to balance out the kind of fixtures I choose? I love the modern glass orb lights, and the geometrical iron lights with edison bulb look. But I want to make sure I am balancing the masculine/feminine aesthetic and also not going to end up with total overkill on iron and glass, and depleting the look overall. Advice? |
