Very light lines?

Anonymous
I had a squinter line on FRER yesterday and it is still very, very light today. It is pink and it came up within the time frame but it is barely there. I took a digi last night and it was negative. I took two Wondfos today and they were negative except very light lines showed after they dried. I am 12-13 dpo. Shouldn't they be darker by now if I am pregnant? Is there a chance they are just evaps even though the FRER's came up in the timeframe? Thanks so much.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with light lines or evaporation lines on FRER?

sometimes the egg doesn't implant until later. From the internet: "Implantation of a fertilized ovum is most likely to occur about 9 days after ovulation, but can range between 6 to 12 days."

Everyone is different. The waiting only gets harder from here, so drink some water, hold your pee, and test again in the morning.

I'm 10 weeks right now. I tested afternoon 14 days after positive Opk (so maybe 13ish days after ovulation) and had a squinter and no idea of it was an evap line. I tested the next day in the morning and another squinter. I had a doctor's appointment that day anyway, but they told me to go to Ob for test. Ob ordered bloodwork which was low (less than 150) betas 3 days after my first squinter. But follow up tests showed more than doubling in 48 hours and now I've seen the little bean in ultrasound. Based on last period I'd be 11 weeks, based on (late) pos Opk I assumed I'd be a little behind that (maybe 10 weeks 3 days) but ultrasound put me another day back. Long story short, if you ovulated / implanted late it could just be too soon to test.

I never saw any progression in the darkness of the lines within 24 hours. Take another one tomorrow morning and compare it to the one you took 2 days ago.

If you are seeing lines, that's a good start! Evap lines are very very rare, in my experience. I have peed on many many test and almost never had one (years of infertility).

I know it's hard, but try to wait a test again in 24 hours. FMU is really the best thing to use for early pregnancy tests. Report back! Good luck!

keep testing. they will get darker eventually. If you're willing to pony up $40 for a blood test that's another option.

I had two negative digitals and a positive FRER that was a squinter at 14 dpo. Kid is now 4. Pregnancy was uncomplicated.

Thanks. It is still there on the FRER this morning but barely visible. I saw that the new FRER's have a lot of problems so I am nervous, but I think I might see something on the Wondfo. At this point, I am just worried it is a chemical pregnancy. I had one before and the lines were so light like this. I will try again tomorrow and if there is still something there go for a blood test.

The wondfos take a lot longer to turn darker. Meaning you have to pee on the test and wait five minutes or so. One day I had a clean bfp on a wondfo and looked back through the trash for the test from the day before. Sure enough there was a line!

Just keep testing. It will probably be darker tomorrow. It took me a good 2-3 days to go from faint lines to medium dark. Then another few days before the lines became extremely dark.

That isn't necessary. Just keep testing. You'll either end up with an obvious bfp or you'll get your period.

It ended up being a CP. I just took a test with another light line and hoping it won't be a CP again.

Good luck (I assume you are OP and the latest poster). Chemicals are such a let down. Fingers crossed for you!
