Protestors burn flag outside of DNC. Why?

What exactly were these people protesting and why on Earth would they choose to use a tactic that is highly offensive to just about everyone? I will never understand what makes protestors think they will gain support/sympathy by engaging in such a despicable action.

Why not? It is their first admenment right to do so? Just because you and I think it is in bad taste doesn't make it illegal.

I mostly roll my eyes when people burnt the flag. It is meant to be provocative but mostly I just find it unimaginative.

I have to disagree with your assessment of Bernie supporters. My friends and I are all well educated and I would like to think rational, Democrats and Bernie supporters.
