| Some time ago I read an article about a cookbook of recipes for kids that are quick and easy and cater to the lifestyle of the busy mom... it was in the Food section of the post. Wish I remembered the name of the book. Most of the books I have of kids recipes are actually too complicated and time-consuming, especially since I'm a terrible cook. But I'm getting to the point that I feel like I'm making the same stuff again and again for my kids and could use some inspiration. Any good cookbook recommendations, particularly those with recipes for kids? Thanks!! |

I use Foodnetwork.com for a lot of things.
Try the show Healthy Appetite (Ellie Krieger) for healthy (you have to type her name into the search box to get the recipes) or the Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) for good food that is easy to make. I find that the recipes by Ina Garten are far easier to make and much fancier-seeming than Rachael Ray. I've only made one Healthy Appetite recipe, but she gets great reviews and I have a ton of them marked to try. You can get some of Jessica Seinfeld's recipes Online. I've only seen a couple that looked like they'd be good....one of them was a Mac & Cheese that seemed really tastey with Butternut Squash or Cauliflower. |
| I have the Healthy in a Hurry cookbook. All of the recipes take 30 min. or less and are healthy. It's not specifically a kid's cookbook but has lots of recipes that I'm sure kids would like. |

I've heard good things about the six o'clock scramble, but I haven't bought it yet myself. Usually I just do a search on allrecipes.com by ingredients I have on hand and something will pop up.
