God, I miss Jon Stewart! His brilliance shines through on this recent piece from Steve Colbert's show. |
Agree. Colbert is very good but lil bit more theatrical and subtle, not as brutal in his take down. Stewart is incisive and shuts the door on any logical rebuttal, leaving the conservative nuts mad but they are rendered defenseless leaving them with anger and hate. |
| They each resonate with different people. They are each translating the same values into different languages. I love them both. |
Because Colbert is playing a satirical character the whole time. People start to forget that it's not really him. It's much harder to do though. |
| Really miss their old shows on Comedy Central. |
| I loves the blue lives matter takedown in that. Hypocrites. |
| Very wealthy white men playing to less wealthy white men. |
| John Stewart, champagne socialist and d-bag. Sure his staff of 100 writers might get the laugh, but she's not funny really. |
Are you drunk already? |
Well, it is after 5:00... |
|
right, jon stewart is such an ass - he supports animal sanctuaries and 9/11 victims families.
Bastard. |
It wasn't when the moron posted. Hey moron: Jon Stewart doesn't have 100 writers anymore. |
|
I thought that it came across as a full frontal attack. The show, at least for a while, took shots at both sides, then around 2007 he became a screaming liberal
Used to be smart, and funny, this was just attack dog mode and not that funny. |
Nothing wrong with wealth. We all want it, while they already made theirs. Shut up and get back to work. It's not 5:00 yet. |
They definitely continued to take shots at both sides. Off the top of my head, he was brutal to Obama's Secretary of HHS, Kathleen Sebelius. |
