What "easy" dessert for a small mexican theme dinner party?

The texture of flan is awful. I know this is just my opinion but GROSS.

How about trying a Tres Leche cake? Those are so yummy. I have no idea if they are easy or not though.

Otherwise, I'd look for a spicy/sweet latin topping for the ice cream, and just get ice cream. Lots of mexican candies have chili powder in them, so look for something like that. I personally hate it, but my Mexican DH loves that stuff.

Flan is incredibly difficult to make -- 90% of the time it turns out disgusting because the texture is too curdy, too watery, too solid, something. I never order it, but occasionally I'll try it, and I have had good flan. But it's just extremely rare. It's not like brownies or something, where even if you mess it up a little, they're still usually delicious.

Costco recently had frozen creme brûlées that were very tasty and could stand in for flan. All you have to do is thaw and then broil the sugar topping.
