Readers of DCUM, weigh in. Do you think Trump is just punking us? Does he really even want to be president? I feel like it's just one big charade to hand the whole presidency to Hillary.

I have been saying this for months and my DH thinks I am crazy. To me it is unmistakably all a big joke. He has no intention of being president. He will never win, but if by some small miracle he does, he will come out with the truth and we will have to face a re-election.

You guys are deluding yourselves. He may have started this out as a publicity stunt, but I think when he saw that he had the potential to win the R. primary, he was all in. This is *the* ultimate power trip.

I think that was his original intent. Now he feels he has to win. My guess is he picked Pence to do the actual running of government so he can just go around mouthing off or he'll need to "step down" due to some unforeseen medical problem.

PP, there's no mulligan option in the Constitution. If Trump were to lose interest and step down after being sworn in, we don't do a re-election. Mike Pence would become president. Think about that long and hard.
