Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't gain weight, if anything I lost some weight. I am kind of mad. I don't expect premium denim to only last a few months. (I wore them 2-3x per week, not everyday). I was also careful with washing them, and didn't too frequently. Bought them at Bloomingdale's.
Do I need to suck it up and buy new jeans? |
| same thing happened to me!!! denim bar didn't care. sorry... |
| Never heard of this, I have a pair that is a few years old. |
| Take them back to Bloomingdales and see what they say. |

"Premium denim" is a term made up by the fashion industry to convince people to buy pants that the manufacturer probably spent less than $20 to manufacture. In most cases it does not indicate greater quality of construction than jeans at Walmart, Old Navy, or anywhere else.
A good tailor may be able to patch the rip from underneath. Try Millie's in north Arlington - they did a good job for me once. |

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I will try to bring them back...worse they can say is no, maybe their tailor can help...

| If you still have the receipt, they will take them back or exchange them. (They still might even if you don't have the receipt.) |
Nordstroms will! |
| that happened to me in an airport on my way to london. i squatted down and my jeans ripped on both sides of the inner thigh. thank god it was winter and i had a long coat (i had already checked my luggage). though, i had gained 5lbs...who knew that was enough to do it! i agree, price doesn't mean quality...though sometimes it does mean a better looking fit, the denim can be flimsy. |
