Broke up with toxic friend and it is amazing

I called a friend out for their ridic statements, some comments were exchanged and I basically texted him and said 'I am not interested in this friendship'

Kind of sad my only male friend is gone (trust me there was no sexual or romantic feelings on either side), but I will not miss his constant judgement of everyone because they aren't as great as him, his ability to complain and be unhappy about the smallest items (for example, a 10 min commute to work, but he doesn't want to move and his job requirements are ridiculous), his constant put down of women and calling them sluts if they have slept with more ppl than his very small number and other delusions.

Did the same thing last year + life has been merry ever since as well.

I've done that too recently. Several friends I've realized I just don't need or want around. It started because of disagreements and I just realized at this point in my life there's no point in keeping people like that around. Not saying I'm perfect, but I just don't need toxic people anymore
