We are going in July w/ my 2.5 yo. I'm wondering if it will be absolutely crazy......any tips or things to do around the area? We are staying 2 nights but wondering if 1 overnight is enough.
TIA |
| There are several Great Wolf Lodges in the area. Which one areyou going to? |
| I wasn't thinking it would be fun with a child that age. I was waiting until mine got older since is it a pricey venue. I'd love to hear about your experience when you return. |
| OP here.....we are going to the one near Williamsburg. BTW, Pampers Splashers is offering a $25/night off coupon. My little guy loves water and we are going to start Mommy and Me swim classes so I was thinking he would like the indoor water park. |
We took our 2.5 yo daughter and she loved it. |
| my 2.5 year old and my 9 month old both loved it. |
| I'm just wondering that if you are willing to drive to Williamsburg, why not just do Water Country instead? Is it because of the heat and sun? Or do you think Great Wolf is really a better deal? Thanks. |
| OP here: we are going to Hershey the week before and I wanted another place that would be fun even in bad or extreme weather. I'm not a fan of heat or humidity. I'll let you know what I thought....... |

OP: just got back from Great Wolf in Williamsburg and my 2.5 yo absolutely loved it -- we did also. Definitely glad we stayed 2 nights and plan to go back in the fall. We stayed in a family suite which was also made it more enjoyable after my little guy went to sleep. It was not crowded as I expected and super kid friendly for all ages.
Tips: buy water/snacks, etc at the Super Walmart just around the corner for the room and to bring to the pool although you are not suppose to bring in food/beverages. Pricey to buy juice and bottled water at the lodge. Bring a couple sets of swim wear to allow one set to dry. I didn't bring enough reading material for pool side relaxing. |

We just returned from a trip there and had a great time. My DD is 5 though but physically she is about the size of a 3 year old and can't swim so she needs to stick to the wading type pools. They have one pool inside that is very shallow and has an entry area that is sloped. There are 3 slides in that area also and I saw plenty of parents put their toddlers down them - some of the braver kids went by themselves. The only drawback is they do not allow toys in the pool which I can understand. It wasn't over crowded and the life guards are actually in the water right where the slides end so they are careful and do watch out for the kids. The offer life jackets also. The outdoor pool has a very shallow end with a slide also and my DD enjoyed playing there too.
We can't wait to go back! |
