I have two choices for direct flights from NYC to St. Thomas next May (I don't live in DC).
They are around the same price wise and time wise. On either airline I would be booking an upgraded premium economy seat. Both charge $25 for bags and both seem to have in flight entertainment & offer wifi. I typically fly JetBlue - so am unsure how Delta & American compare... Thoughts? |
| check the on-time rankings for each flight. |

Sucks v. sucks.
You can't go right. |

Just do it quickly before the price jumps. |

Delta: kinda sucks
American: possibly the worst airline in the U.S. there days |
American is definitely worse than Delta. Delta gets their own flights mostly right. It's just their legacy partners that are a disaster. |
| I hate Delta. |

Delta is better
United is the worst of the majors All 3 of them |
| OP here. Thanks everyone. You all are making me nervous!! I love my JetBlue and just wish they flew direct from NY |
They're not Jet Blue, but they're fine and they'll get you where you need to go. Not sure on the tvs in the seat backs though - I would check on that. |
| American is union, Delta isn't. I have to fly Delta for work, and I hate it. |
| Doesn't matter at all. Only other thing I look at is where I might get re-routed to (where are their hubs) if there is weather, etc. Not as big of a deal in May, but there are times I'd rather get dropped in Atlanta vs Dallas (or other hub, Boston, etc) depending on my destination. |
| Delta over American hands down. |
